'Banh mi' among new words added to Merriam-Webster's dictionary

This month, Merriam-Webster added almost 370 new terms to its dictionary, including the world-famous Vietnamese sandwich banh mi.
Merriam-Webster, in the United States, said earlier this week that it added 370 new words and meanings to its in September. Banh mi is one of eight new food-related words added to the dictionary, along with "pumpkin spice" and "oat milk."
While some of the words have been around for a while, Merriam-Webster editor at large Peter Sokolowski points out that individuals aren't always introduced to new words at the same time.
