Authorities in the southern Vietnamese province of Dong Thap recruited hundreds of personnel and machines to rescue a 10-year-old kid from
35 meters deep and 25 centimeters in diameter.
The reason why a youngster called Ly Hao Nam from Phu Loi Commune, Thanh Binh District, is trapped in a concrete pile pit at the Roc Sen Bridge building site in Phu Loi Commune is unknown.
The boy's
cannot be verified due to the depth of the concrete pile hole. Dropping ropes to rescue him is impossible because the concrete pile hole is too narrow, and the victim cannot tie the rope around his torso, according to a rescuer.
To rescue the child,
has dispatched eight excavators, cranes, and augers, as well as hundreds of commune, district, and province police officials.
