New developments in the 17-year-old beauty queen murder in Hanoi

On September 24th, the Hanoi People's Court opened the trial of 39-year-old Tạ Duy Khanh, who faces charges of murder and robbery. Khanh’s crime shocked the public after he killed a young woman and dismembered her body, later disposing of it in the Red River.

According to the investigation, detailed by VOV, Khanh and the victim, 17-year-old H.Y.N. (name changed for privacy), met in early 2021 through his work as a broker in Hanoi, where he arranged for women to serve alcohol to clients. Khanh frequently introduced H.Y.N. to clients, earning a fee of 2 million VND per session, which lasted four hours. He personally kept 25% of the payment made to her.
