Bing chatbot now lets you create images

Microsoft is introducing

to its Bing search engine, called the Bing Image Creator. The feature will be driven by an “advanced version” of OpenAI’s DALL-E model and will allow Bing users to create images by simply typing in a description of what they want to generate. 

The Image Creator will be integrated into the Bing chat experience, initially rolling out in Creative mode. Users will be able to provide additional context like location or activity, and choose an art style to generate an image from their imagination. This new feature will also be available in Microsoft’s Edge browser through a new icon in the Edge sidebar.  Microsoft will initially limit the Image Creator to its creative mode in Bing, with plans to optimize it for

. Bing preview users can access the feature through the usual chatbot prompt or through Microsoft Edge, while non-preview users can access it separately at bing.com/create for English text-to-image generation.
