Squid Game creator is making a film that’s even more violent

Hwang Dong-hyuk, the director of Squid Game, is working on

. Dong-hyuk, whose past feature films include in South Korea such as Miss Granny and The Fortress, is currently working on a new named Killing Old People Club.

"It will be more brutal than Squid Game," the filmmaker said, adding that it will almost certainly be "another

." The film, which currently only has a 25-page screenplay, is based on a novel by Umberto Eco, an Italian novelist and philosopher. The project's is now K.O. Club.

Dong-hyuk is also returning to South Korea to write the second season of Squid Game.
