Landslide Threatens 31 Households in Lào Cai

a state of emergency due to severe risks threatening the lives of 31 households in Pom Hán ward, Lào Cai city.​

by significant cracks appearing along Route 29/3, a vital road through the community, and signs of landslides in the surrounding . These issues after heavy rains from March 10 to 13, causing the cracks to expand further.​

Authorities identified the potential for large-scale landslides that could impact the residential area below. Immediate

include relocating affected residents to safe locations and closely monitoring the situation. Plans are to construct a protective along the vulnerable sections of Route 29/3, with an estimated budget of approximately 50 billion VND. Construction is slated to begin in April and conclude by August 2025.​
