IELTS 5.5 Now Accepted for Public Security University Admission

In 2025, Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security has updated its university

for People's Public Security schools. Previously, candidates with an IELTS score of 7.5 or higher were for direct admission. Now, applicants with an IELTS (Academic) score of at least 5.5 can apply through a combination of their IELTS score and results from the Ministry's . This change aims to broaden the .​

Additionally, the Ministry has expanded the number of admission subject combinations from 7 to 15. These combinations include traditional groups like A00 (math, physics, chemistry) and A01 (math, physics, English), as well as new groups such as B08 (math, biology, English) and D10 (math, geography, English).
