According to the National Hydrometeorological Forecasting Center, early this morning (September 19), the tropical depression in the northeastern area of the Hoang Sa Archipelago intensified into Tropical Storm No. 4 of 2024.
Strong winds of level 6, with gusts reaching level 7, have been recorded on Con Co Island (Quang Tri).
At present,
A level-3 disaster risk warning has been declared for the affected regions, including the western waters of the northern East Sea (encompassing the Hoang Sa Archipelago); coastal waters from Nghe An to Quang Ngai (including Ly Son, Cu Lao Cham, Con Co, and Hon Ngu Islands); and the mainland from Ha Tinh to Quang Nam.
