This morning at 10 a.m., North-South trains could traverse Thừa Thiên Huế at a speed of 5 km/h as floodwaters recede and various rail sections are reinforced.
Representatives from the Vietnam Railways Corporation reported that the rain in Thừa Thiên Huế had subsided this morning, and as a result,
Van Xa Station experienced the deepest flooding, with a rail section submerged under 40 cm of water at 7 a.m. The Mỹ Chánh - Phò Trạch section had water levels below 30 cm and is gradually receding.
Despite the reopening of the rail route, today's SE3, SE5, and SE2 trains will still temporarily be on-hold from Hanoi and Saigon stations. Passengers can contact the stations to refund tickets without incurring any fees.
