On the morning of September 10th, Mr. Đàm Hải Triều, Deputy Chief of the Cao Bằng Provincial People's Committee Office, reported that by 10 a.m. today, rescue teams had recovered 18 bodies in Nguyên Bình District. Among these, nine individuals were swept away along with their vehicle and motorbikes at the landslide site in Huổi Ngoạ Village, Ca Thành Commune.
In the early hours of the previous day, a bus operated by Viet Trang Transport Company, carrying around 15 people, was traveling on National Route 34 from Bảo Lâm District to Cao Bằng City. When the bus reached Ca Thành Commune, it was buried under a landslide of earth and rocks and was subsequently carried away by the stream beside the road.
