The head of the Hoa Hong Orphanage detained for investigation

On the morning of September 5th, police

Giap Thi Song Huong, the head of the Hoa Hong Orphanage, along with several caregivers, to investigate allegations of child abuse.

The Criminal Investigation Department of District 12, in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City police, took Ms. Giap Thi Song Huong (50 years old, originally from Bac Giang, residing in Go Vap District) into custody. She is

of the Hoa Hong Orphanage, located on To Ky Street in Trung My Tay Ward.

Additionally, the police detained several caregivers from the orphanage, including Nguyen Thi Ngoc Cam (46 years old), to further investigate the allegations of child abuse, which have recently come to light through media reports.

Authorities are also searching for another caregiver, identified as Tuyen, who is believed to be involved in the case.

Moreover, police are gathering evidence to investigate

at the orphanage. There are suspicions that the institution may have engaged in fraudulent activities, misusing charitable donations for personal gain.
