1. Cấu trúc tương phản (contrast):
- Despite N, SV
Ví dụ: Despite significant changes, the proportion of sick days taken by Dutch workers remains higher than in any other country.
- SV, while SV
Ví dụ: France showed a declining tendency, while Sweden showed an increasing trend.
2. Phân biệt giới từ 'by' và 'to' khi đưa số liệu:
- Giới từ “to” diễn tả sự tăng/giảm đến một mức nào đó ở một thời điểm cụ thể
Ví dụ: The number of foreign visitors increased to 10,000 after 2 years. (số lượng khách du lịch là 10,000 sau 2 năm)
- Giới từ “by” diễn tả sự tăng/ giảm bao nhiêu (lấy số lớn trừ số bé)
Ví dụ: The number of students increased by 2000 after 2 years (Số lượng học sinh tăng thêm 2000 sau 2 năm).
