On the morning of November 28, the People's Committee of Vung Tau reported that 291 people sought medical attention after eating sandwiches from the popular Co Ba bakery. Among the affected, three cases were classified as severe.

The affected individuals reported symptoms of stomach pain, high fever, and frequent diarrhea after consuming sandwiches from Co Ba bakery on Nguyen An Ninh Street in the afternoon and evening of November 26. The sandwiches, typically sold in large quantities (600–700 servings daily), were made with a combination of ingredients including boiled pork, shredded pork, butter, pâté, sausage, pickled vegetables, and herbs.
