Reddit’s users threatened to leave the platform after API changes

In recent days, Reddit has experienced a crisis, with over 100 subreddits being wiped out, including the platform's top five most popular subreddits, which will begin shutting down on June 12th. Additionally, thousands of communities and posts on the homepage have emerged to protest

the API (Application Programming Interface), according to the Reddark monitoring website. As one of the largest internet forums, Reddit boasts a massive user base, with up to 57 million daily visits. The platform had previously released its API for free several years ago. However, due to that didn't generate significant profits, Reddit has now decided to charge fees to entities accessing its API.
