. According to CJ, the distributing company, as of February 19, the film has reached 310 billion Dong with 3.5 million viewers. "Mai" surpasses "Lật mặt 6" (directed by Lý Hải, with a revenue of 300 billion Dong) to become one of the top three highest-grossing Vietnamese films ever. With this new work, Trấn Thành now owns three of the highest-grossing films, following "Nhà bà Nữ" (475 billion Dong) and "Bố già" (427 billion Dong). He also becomes the first Vietnamese producer-director to achieve a total revenue of over 1,000 billion Dong across all projects.

The film continuously stirred up the box office during the ten days of the Lunar New Year. According to Box Office Vietnam, an independent box office observation unit, on February 14, the film reached a peak revenue of over 43 billion Dong, with a screening occupancy rate touching 72%,

in Vietnamese film history. Nguyen Khanh Duong, the founder of Box Office, believes that the possibility of the film surpassing 500 billion Dong is feasible due to the film's impact.

Following "Mai," the director revealed that he is nurturing a new project scheduled for release during the Lunar New Year in 2025. "The film will no longer be labeled as 18+, but rather a work that everyone can bring their whole family to watch," he said.
